Nikko City and World Heritage Sites: Nikko City is home to historical buildings, shrines, and temples registered as World Heritage Sites, such as Nikko Toshogu Shrine, Rinnoji Temple, and Nikko Futaarasan Shrine.
Nasushiobara City and Nature Experience: Nasushiobara City has beautiful nature and offers activities for all four seasons. Mountain climbing and hiking are especially popular in Nasu Highlands.
Utsunomiya City and Local Gourmet Food: Utsunomiya City is the capital of Tochigi Prefecture and is especially famous for its gyoza (dumplings). Visitors can enjoy delicious local gourmet food made from fresh local ingredients.
Hot Springs and Yunishigawa Onsen: There are many hot springs in Tochigi Prefecture, and Yunishigawa Onsen boasts of its beautiful skin. You can enjoy the hot springs while relaxing.
Cherry blossom viewing spots in Tochigi: In spring, beautiful cherry blossoms can be enjoyed in various places in Tochigi Prefecture. Utsunomiya Castle Ruins Park in Utsunomiya City is especially recommended.
Nasu Zoological Kingdom and Theme Park: Nasu Zoological Kingdom is a zoo where visitors can interact with a variety of animals and is popular with families. Theme parks and outlet malls can also be enjoyed.

This is a long course touring the western part of Tochigi Prefecture. Starting and finishing in Utsunomiya, a famous bicycle town, the course climbs up Iroha Hill and heads west toward Nikko, one of Japan's most popular tourist destinations. After climbing up to Oku-Nikko, the tour will visit spots such as Furumine Shrine and pass through the urban area of Kanuma before reaching the goal.

This course, which starts and ends at Nasushiobara Station, encircles the northern area of the prefecture, and is a challenging course that includes a steep slope to Happogahara over a distance of more than 170 km. However, the course offers a high plateau view and a great sense of accomplishment, so we encourage you to give it a try.

This is a course that traverses Kanuma from east to west, offering some ups and downs and a deep experience.
Kanuma City, approximately 100km north of Tokyo, is located in central Tochigi Prefecture, adjacent to the international tourist destination Nikko City and the prefectural capital Utsunomiya City.

Noiwa Railway Cycle Train

Cycle trains are available on the Noiwa Railway “Aizu Kinugawa Line” connecting the Kinugawa and Aizu areas.
The line is a natural beauty of the valley.
The cycle train is basically in operation all year round, with four designated trains each up and down the line each day.
Advance registration is required.

Tobu Railway Cycle Train

Tobu Railway is currently offering cycle trains on the Nikko and Kinugawa lines.
In 2024, the service will be expanded to include regular trains all year round, except during peak season and other times of the year.
The cycle train will operate between Shimo-Imaichi, Tobu Nikko, Shimo-Imaichi and Kinugawa Onsen Stations (boarding and alighting only at Shimo-Imaichi, Tobu Nikko and Kinugawa Onsen Stations), departing from Taisho Station between 9:00 and 15:00.
