Cycling Tour Spring 2026
Shimanami Kaido, Sakura (Cherry blossom) season, bicycle group tours for foreign cyclists who are interesting in Rolling Japan.
Tours are operated for groups of 10-15 participants, and two Japanese guide cyclists will accompany you. The standard itinerary is 7 nights and 8 days, visiting Kurashiki, Onomichi, Shimanami Kaido, Shikoku and Wakayama, cycling along famous cherry blossom viewing spots.

Tours are divided into different groups: one for folding bikes such as Bromptons, and one for road bikes. If you are bringing your own bike to Japan, your bike case and other luggage will be loaded onto a truck at the airport in Japan and delivered to your hotel in your departure location. You can travel light and empty-handed in Japan to move to Day 1 hotel. Your luggage will be carried in a support vehicle while you cycle, so there is no need to carry it on your bike.
We recommend joining this tour this spring 2026, from the end of March to end of April, as cherry blossom season is in full swing. Groups of a minimum of 10 people must apply.
Shimanami Kaido
The Shimanami Kaido Cycling Route is Japan's first trans-strait bicycle path, stretching approximately 70km from Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture to Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture, connecting the islands of the Seto Inland Sea via bridges and ferries. It is world-famous as a "Mecca for cyclists." There are plenty of rental bicycles available so that everyone from beginners to advanced riders can enjoy the route, and guide signs such as the "Blue Line" are also in place on the islands. While touring the beautiful islands, you can enjoy spectacular ocean views, local cuisine, and historical culture. Some people complete the entire route in a day, while others stay overnight along the way, making cycling a very flexible experience.

This tour is“7-night, 8-day cycling group tour”that starts from Kansai International Airport (KIX), after sightseeing in historical city , Kurashiki and Onomichi, then start cycling along the Shimanami Kaido to Imabari, Shikoku Chuo, Takamatsu, Naruto, Tokushima and Wakayama before returning to Kansai International Airport.
The bike & luggage transport
A major problem when cycling in Japan is how to transport your bicycle around the country. A support vehicle will accompany your tour to transport your bicycle and luggage.
Of course, you can also rent bicycle or electric assist bicycle for the duration of the tour.
