The Saku area in Nagano Prefecture has a magnificent natural environment.
JR Koumi Line will operate an activity priority train for a limited period during the summer season of 2024.
Bicycles can be brought on the train on a limited date and with advance application (capacity of 8 people per car).

Kamikochi Line Cycle Train

The Kamikochi Line, with its magnificent Kamikochi scenery, usually operates a cycle train service from spring to autumn.
Please note that the service is limited to two designated trains each in the upper and lower sections.

Only on designated trains and at designated stations, bicycles can be brought on board without being folded.
There is no charge for bringing your bicycle onto the train, and only a standard fare is required.
Reservations are required, and you need to make a reservation and purchase a “Cycle Train Ticket” on the dedicated webpage and pay the fare.
Each passenger is allowed to bring one bicycle, and the maximum number of bicycles allowed per train is four.
