This course is popular with local road bike riders and experienced cyclists. The main attraction of this course is the gentle slope, which has an elevation gain of approximately 500m and a round trip of over 40km.
Since the course runs up from the Karikawa mountain stream, it is quite demanding and suitable for training. At the end of the climb, you will find Kitatsuki Sanso, surrounded by the beautiful nature at the foot of Mt. Gassan.

This course starts in Sakata City and takes you around the Mogami River basin in the Shonai region.
The ups and downs are generally gentle, and you can ride while enjoying the refreshing atmosphere of the plains and mountain streams.
The devil gate of this course is located in the middle of the route, and consists of two major ups and downs with an elevation gain of 700 m.
The altitude is high, centering on Chokai no Mori, a leisure facility that includes a camping ground and ski resort, and is also a popular hill climbing spot for local riders.

It is a wide-area long route that provides a great sense of accomplishment as it runs along National Route 347, a trade route that connects Miyagi and Yamagata. This is a route where you can enjoy a slow journey.
